* @olaeldoblogspot has authoritatively confirmed that the
corpse of the late ex-Governor of Ondo State,
Olusegun Kokumo Agagu, which was involved in
the ill-fated Associated Airlines crash that occurred
on Thursday morning in Lagos, has been
recovered.
A source at the scene of the incident confirmed to
Olaeldoblogspot that the remains of the late Peoples’
Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain has now been
taken away by airport officials after it was
recovered from the crash.
“The casket carrying the body of late Agagu was
not burnt in the aircraft. His corpse was not in the
burnt compartment of the plane, and has been
taken away by airport workers,” the source, who
begged not to be named, told olaeldoblogspot in
confidence.
The Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, through her
media aide, Joe Obi, confirmed to newsmen on
Thursday that, “an Embraer aircraft operated by
Associated Airlines with Reg No SCD 361 enroute
Akure from the Murtala Mohammed Airport,
Lagos, crashed shortly after take-off at about 9.30
am local time. The plane had 20 passengers and 7
crew members on board.”

Emergency rescue operations commenced
immediately by a combined team of Fire Service
and security personnel . Some persons pulled out
from the aircraft have been rushed to the hospital
while a few dead bodies have been recovered,
The rescue operations is still on-going.
