introspection for EFA. Working hard as a
member of the main cast for the MTV Show;
SHUGA, meant time away from the studio and
making music — his first love.
Balling Like Don Jazzy is a song of aspiration
from a young man making a steady climb from
obscurity. A Cross River indigene that calls
Ibadan home knows too well what swimming
against the tide is.
According to him, “Balling Like Don Jazzy is a
song that speaks from the perspective of a
young Nigerian who aspires to a position of
greatness by dint of hard work. We decided to
install Don Jazzy as someone for the youths to
look up to. Especially since our traditional role
models are largely criminals and corrupt
government officials.”
